It's definitely not old-school, square corners but it has slightly rounded corners for a solid blend of modern square.. if that makes sense. Chase at IW Hockey
7:18 Dan is absolutely right here. Big max blade paddles add a ton of weight to the stick versus a thinner pattern like a P88 or P14. A 64” shaft can also easily weigh 15-25 g more than a 60” shaft. And a stiffer flex will also always weigh more since additional material is required to increase the shaft’s flex. The key is having a stick with a nice balance point. I would gladly take a 400 g stick that feels good in the hands over a 375 g stick that feels a bit wonky in the blade.

I got new skates and I can’t find the anything online about them, they are called “ccm ribcore maxx plus” it’s regular price is 450$ cad when it was not on clearance.
Just got one for my 10 year old 1 skate later it has some pretty massive chips in multiple places idk how that durability is gonna be, but his shot is noticably harder and he said he loves the feel. He's been using a trigger 7 pro for 6 months and there's not a single chip the size of those after one day. Kinda interesting

I wear my shin under my tongue and find the bottom of this shin pads digging into my leg when I skate and causes pain. Is there any way to fix that problem ?
Sounds like your shin guards need to be one size down, but that means spending money. So the easy and quick fix is to actually wear them on top of your skate tongue. Brandon at IW Hockey

Got one for my son this year. He notices that the texture on the blade helps him scoop the puck for Michigan goals. Every friend he has lent it to immediately comments on the release. Little effort and the puck flies away.

Hey! XF 80's are a great choice if you're looking to save money. They have the Impact Protection Plate which is pretty awesome to see in their third price point. The 7X3's have the 9X3's protection package which is top-level and have better comfort thanks to the AX Suede Palm. Is there anything in particular you were trying to compare? Brandon at IW Hockey
@@ice.warehouse thanks a thousand for replying! What I’m looking for is mainly thumb mobility - I have pretty basic ccm ft475 gloves that need replacement and they lack quite a bit in the finger mobility department.
The 7X3's will have the XF 80's beat there. They have a 3-piece thumb where most gloves only have a 2-piece. And the way True designed their backhand and finger foams make it so it has really dang good mobility. However, even if you go with the 80's..you're going to experience a major upgrade in mobility compared to your 475's. Brandon at IW Hockey

I just bought these skates. Moving from 15 year old Graf 705 models. The Grafs are still competitive on weight after all these years which is a credit to Graf. Hoping that some new technology will be beneficial to my skating.

Hey there, I would recommend going with a slightly better skate for that U18 player. At that size and skill level, they're going to breakdown the boot of the M1 fairly quickly. So I actually just ordered these they haven’t even shipped yet, but I figured I’d grab a slim tongue since I’m coming from the old nexus line and I have a thick foot. The problem is no one even has an xs slim tongue size large. Not CCM, Not IW, HM, pureh I’ve got my fingers crossed they fit, but why is CCM pushing interchangeable tongues when they’re impossible to find.
Unfortunately, this is the last line to have the replaceable tongues. Each line including this year's Tacks line do not have the replaceable tongues. If you do find an XS Slim tongue, I'd buy two just in case! Chase at IW Hockey

when I was 14 my father bought me one of these as a gift, it broke three days later (user error I bought 8 more throughout my hockey career. I still do this very day hear about breaking that goddamn hockey stick XD

👀! You guys have these, too?! 😄 I still want these skates, back. Might end up purchasing a pair of these ones at iw sometime later on. Had a little set back with these ccms. Not sure what size to buy, now. I'd recently purchased the xtra se about 2 months ago, but I had to return them because of a tight-pinching sensation around the little toe in the left boot, only. (This part, here: 4:22 right at the protection area just before my toes fully sits inside the toe box) Before buying the se, I went to a local hockey store to try on the ft680 in a 9 regular and felt the same pinching feeling at the time; reason I'd gone with wide for the se, but when the skates came, unfortunately, the wide didn't fix the issue 😅 My relaxed fit in a vapor is 9ee. Pro fit would be 8.5ee. I was told that the jetspeed line should relatively fit like vapors but even when I got scanned using ccm's scan machine, my results came back as 9.5 regular. 🤔 I began to wonder if current jetspeed skates are cut .5" smaller than vapors? Something is telling me that the recommended 9.5 regular would probably alleviate the toe-pinching, but my brain is telling me 9.5 would be too big 😆
Interesting, did you figure out which size you fit in? I've never been a fan of having to go with a longer skater to accommodate a wider foot, something I've had to deal since I have such a tall arch. Chase at IW Hockey
Did CCM share why they removed the width adjustment from their newer models? I absolutely love my Tacks 710, because the single width/length adjuster at the back of the helmet gives me the best fit I've ever had. Really excellent technology. Seems like a strange decision to revert back to a length-only adjustment system on the entire Tacks line, because it leaves a pretty clear market hole for Bauer to fill with their FreeForm Adjustment system... Very curious to know your thoughts. Thanks!
Would this helmet fit a big round head like the Re Akt 100 does? The only helmet that fits me is the 100

Question, the Junior level 9x4 is marketed as having the same carbon fiber one piece shell along with the new Genetix insole... Upon inspecting the skate it's clear it's more comparable to a 5x4.. is this true?
I'm 6'5", 200lbs with a 34-35'" waist. What size girdle should I get, L or XL? I know they are super adjustable, I just don't know by how much. Would a L (ideal waist size) be able to adjust long enough for my height (I have REALLY long femurs)? Would an XL give me more length, and still be able to tighten enough around my waist?

Will this girdle ever be restocked? Or is it gone for good now? All I can find anywhere for CCM girdles is the Jetspeed one, which also requires the shell to be purchased separately, to a much much higher total cost (and provides worse protection)

Anyone using a improvised tool other than the tool provided by True to remove the blade? My pair of Hzardus is so stiff that it's nearly impossible to loosen the blue trigger and release the steel
Skate lace can give you some leverage
